The Story |

|
Giuseppe Baietto |
B.A.P. was
established in
1957 as a small
family business,
by Giuseppe
Baietto. He
spent his youth
in the workshop
of his father
Francesco and in
the workshops
where writing
instruments were
by then being
manufactured and
assembled: he
was so
fascinated by
this activity
that he decided
to open a
business of his
own.
The turn of
Emiliano,
Giuseppe’s son,
came in 1983. He
began working
with his father
and put new life
into the
company, in
particular with
the introduction
of new materials:
resins, briar
wood, buffalo
horn, silver,
gold and, more
recently,
leather. |

The town of
Settimo, on the
immediate
outskirts of
Turin, is known
world-wide as
the “international
capital of pen
production”.
Today’s
factories
originated from
the many small
workshops
established
during the
Second World
War. After
having gained
experience in
the field of
small products
made of ivory,
galalith and
other plastics
popular at the
time, the
workshops began
producing
celluloid
fountain pens.

His enthusiasm
and love for the
production and
technical
improvement of
writing
instruments were
so catching that,
in 1965, his
brother Aldo
also joined the
company.
This is now the
third family
generation: the
activity
continues under
the trademark
Cesare Emiliano
, hall-marking a
range of high
quality products,
well balanced
between modern
technology and
craftsmanship,
the synonym of
reliability and
care over
details. |
